Before I start, this is not a haul in the traditional sense, I didn't buy all of these products at once. I accumulated my MakeUp Revolution collection over a month - some products I bought in-store (Superdrug - Bangor) , some online and others were gifted to me by my super wonderful and generous friend Rachael, who you can find at: http://www.sugarlumpsandluckycharms.com/
Eyes Like Angels palette - £8.00
This was the very first MakeUp Revolution product I bought. I was drawn in by the huge range of colours in the palette and at £8.00 for 32 eyeshadows - I thought if at least 3-5 were decent - it was a worthwhile purchase. I've been hugely surprised at the quality of these shadows and there has not been a single shade so far that I have been underwhelmed by.
This palette is perfect for travel as there are so many shades in one box. I bring this one everywhere.
Iconic 3 palette - £4.00
I'm not going to say too much about this one as I have already done a full blog post about this palette which will be up in the next few days. This is a perfect dupe for Urban Decay's "Naked 3" palette and I use this as my day-to-day palette as its full of neutral shades.
I will be the first person to admit that I am TERRIBLE at applying liquid eyeliner - it always ends up either half-way above my lash line or almost covering my whole lid after trying to rectify mistakes. I'm still no pro- however, the super-slim brush makes mistakes a lot less frequent. The only negative thing I have to say is that the brush is quite "sharp" and if you apply with too much pressure, it can hurt the sensitive skin on your eyelids. But I suppose for a mere £1.50, I can't complain!
I think this has got to be my favourite MakeUp Revolution product I own. Spraying your face with this after you've applied your makeup allows it to stay on perfectly for up to 12 hours. This is only £5.00 and a brilliant alternative to MAC Fix Plus, which is a lot more expensive and does the exact same job.
Your face will feel wet for about 10 seconds but that feeling passes and your makeup will stay flawless for hours. Highly recommended.
Lipstick - Dare - £1.00
This lipstick was a total bargain. The colour is reasonably long-lasting (which I wasn't expecting for that price) and the finish is very smooth. I will definitely be trying some more of these in the future as this lipstick puts other drugstore lipsticks to shame in both quality and price. In fact, the only thing about the lipstick which reflects the price is the packaging but when the product is that good - we can forgive!
This one was a surprise for me. I love the MUA Velvet Lacquer lip tints so I ordered this one to test it out. On the website it looks like a pale pink shade but it's actually an unusual peach colour. I don't have anything else in that shade - but I think once you get used to it - it looks amazing. It's very long lasting and it doesn't try out your lips.
Sugar and Spice Blush Palette - £6.00
I am a huge fan of this palette. My go-to blusher was always Dollymix by MAC and I very rarely deviated from it. This palette introduced me to new shades that I can wear which are bit different but just as pretty. I especially love the two shimmery blushes - they're perfect for a night out.
This is supposed to be a blush stick but I've seen a few YouTubers use it as a contour stick. This product is so creamy and it blends like a dream. I, personally, will only be using it as a contour product because it's too dark on my pale skin to be a blush!
Mermaids vs Unicorns Eyeshadow Palette - £4.00
Focus and Fix Concealer - £2.00
I got this in the shade "Fair" which is one of their palest concealers. It does a great job at hiding dark circles. Luckily, my skin has been quite good recently so I haven't had the chance to use it on spots/blemishes as yet though I imagine the yellow tones will really help to conceal redness. I would recommend blending this in straight away as it is quick-drying and can look cake-y if it's left too long on its own.
I am absolutely obsessed with the mascara-style applicator because not only does it distribute the tint evenly across your eyebrow, but it allows you to shape them too! This is the lightest shade available - and even at that I find that it's a little bit dark so be wary of that before you buy.
Lip liners - Baby Pink and The One - £1.00 each
These lipliners are exactly what I've been looking for. I don't like spending a fortune on lipliners but they're still a necessity. I have found that The One pairs really well with my Viva Glam II lipstick from MAC and Baby Pink is the perfect match for St Germaine (FINALLY!) Both lip liners are extremely pale so if you're looking for a bolder lip liner, these may not be for you. They come with a special sharpener in the lid, which is super useful and I don't know why more lipliners don't have these!
